Touch Screen Film
Brightness Enhancing Film
Description
Kaixin provides functional film materials with excellent electrical insulation properties and flame retardant properties. The UL94 fire rating reaches V-0 or VTM-0, which is environmentally friendly and meets UL standards. Transparent or opaque films are available in a variety of specifications. It is an excellent choice for printed circuit board insulation, backlit aircraft flight panels and display panels, commercial equipment insulation, computer rack partitions, and television and monitor insulation.
Flame retardant film can be with transparent or black color that can provide a variety of surface textures, including fine sand, medium sand, coarse sand and matte textures. Its good formability and dimensional stability at high temperatures facilitate processing and manufacturing.
Features
- Flame retardant performance: Black/transparent flame retardant PC film uses special flame retardant additives and has excellent flame retardant properties. UL94 fire rating reaches V-0 or VTM-0.
- Electrical properties: The electrical properties of black/transparent flame-retardant PC film will not change in many temperature ranges, and can be used as an excellent insulating material in the field of electronic and electrical appliances.
- Mechanical properties: Black/transparent flame-retardant PC film has excellent mechanical properties, high strength, wear resistance, tear resistance, pressure resistance, and not easy to deform and age.
- Environmental protection: Black/transparent flame retardant PC film can achieve halogen-free flame retardancy. It does not contain chlorine, bromine, or any heavy metals. It is a truly green and environmentally friendly flame-retardant polycarbonate film that complies with European environmental regulations such as ROHS, TCO, and Blue Angel. Due to its environmentally friendly properties, it is easy to reuse and reduces waste.
Applications
- Insulating materials in electronic and electrical fields (printed circuit board insulation, power supplies, display panels, TVs/monitors).
- Die cut insulators and gaskets.
- Printed circuit boards for desktops and servers.
- Battery covers, adapters, casings, etc. for computers, notebooks, and mobile phones.
Application of flame-retardant PC materials in automotive parts
Polycarbonate (PC), as one of the five engineering plastics, is used in the production of automotive parts because of its advantages such as high strength, high impact resistance, and heat resistance. For example, car dashboards, lighting systems, hot plates, defrosters, polycarbonate alloy bumpers, etc.
With the upgrade of consumption, the development of new energy vehicles and lightweight, the demand for PCs at home and abroad is also increasing. Global PC production capacity will increase to 6.4 million tons in 2019, with China accounting for 72%, reaching 4.6 million tons, 2015-2019 Annual average annual growth in global production capacity PC itself has certain flame retardancy and has certain advantages compared with ordinary polymer materials such as PE and PP. The LOI is 21% ~ 24%, and UL94 is V2 level. However, in application fields with relatively high flame retardant requirements for automotive parts, flame retardant performance is not enough, and flame retardant modification is required.
PC for auto parts is also close to a halogen-free environment when selecting flame retardants. By adding a variety of additives or manufacturing composite flame retardants, the overall performance of PC is improved. In addition, the composite modification of PC with ABS, PBT, etc. is also most suitable for improving the processability and flame retardancy of PC.
